The Beach, The City, The Pier, The Nightlife

The best part about exploring the St. Pete area is that you really do get the best of both worlds. There's the nice, relaxing beach town & just a few minutes away is the city.

My go to for a relaxing day is going to the beach, having a marg in my hand, & just forgetting about everything else that isn't in front of me. Long Key was a great spot for that & it was maybe a 10 minute walk from our hotel. My bestie Gina & I rented two chairs & an umbrella for the day & it was the perfect way to escape. The margs that we grabbed from the snack shack definitely helped us relax a great deal too. :)

There are plenty of beach bars in the area too; Undertow is an extremely popular spot in Treasure Island; I highly suggest checking it out.

The city of St. Petersburg has so much to offer, including various shops & restaurants. The Dali Museum is also very worthwhile & it gets you out of the heat for a little bit if you need a reprieve. Personally, the pier was the best part of exploring the actual city. There were so many unique vendors & art exhibits along the pier. It almost felt like a festival. As an added bonus, it's a great spot for dolphin watching! Definitely a ton of photo ops & the view of the city skyline is really beautiful.

In terms of nightlife, honestly, we were so tired from all the walking we had been doing, we didn't explore night life all that much. However, one night we did go to the Toasted Monkey & it was a lot of fun. They have live music in an outdoor section & incredible drinks. I've heard about a few really unique night life spots that I definitely need to check out my next trip.
